If you don't know who Terry Fox is, you need to learn--no matter who you are!! Terry has impacted millions from around the world. He is a true humanitarian! Next time you're debating whether or not to get off the couch and go for a run, think about Terry. Or the next time you contemplate skipping a workout because the weather is less than perfect, think about Terry. Think about what he accomplished. What he set out to accomplish. What he overcame. What he stood for. And most importantly, the lives he changed/will change! Still rather sit on the couch?
After losing a leg to Cancer, Terry Fox set out to run accross Canada. His goal: pursuade every Canadian to donate one dollar to cancer research. Along the way (but not before running 5373 kilometers) his cancer returned, and took his life. He is celebrated globally. Today, Terry Fox's legacy has raised more than $500 million for cancer research.
